ParkQ is a marketplace of real people sharing real space. These guidelines take effect at launch — here's the etiquette we're all signing up for.
For drivers
You're parking on someone's property. Act like a good guest.
Park only what you booked
Your booking covers one bay, for the hours you paid for. Arrive on time, leave on time — someone else's booking might start where yours ends.
Stay inside your lines
Park fully within the marked bay. If there are no markings, leave room for the next car and never block access, gates, or walkways.
Keep it quiet and clean
Many ParkQ spots are in residential areas. Keep noise down, especially at night, and leave the spot exactly as you found it.
Talk in the app
Running late? Can't find the entry? Message your host in ParkQ's in-app messaging instead of calling or knocking — it keeps a record both sides can refer to.
For hosts
You're welcoming strangers onto your property. Set them up to succeed.
List it like it is
Photos, location pin, and description must match reality. A listing that surprises a driver on arrival won't survive moderation — and won't get rebooked.
Keep availability honest
Only list hours when the spot is genuinely free and reachable. If something changes — construction, a guest over, a locked gate — update the listing before someone books it.
Write entry notes people can follow
Which gate, which floor, where exactly to park. Good entry notes are the difference between a five-star booking and a confused driver circling your lane.
Respond when it matters
You don't need to be glued to the app, but booking requests and in-app messages deserve a timely reply — especially close to the booking time.
The non-negotiables.
These apply to every driver and every host, no exceptions.
Treat every driver and host with basic respect — no harassment, abuse, or discrimination, in messages or in person.
No fake bookings, fake listings, or gaming the system. The marketplace only works if every spot and every booking is real.
Don't share personal contact details to take a booking off the app. Off-app bookings have no confirmation, no record, and no protection.
Report problems instead of retaliating. A bad experience reported properly makes the marketplace better for everyone.
Rules with teeth, applied fairly.
Guidelines only matter if they're enforced — and enforcement only works if it's fair.
Every listing on ParkQ passes moderation before it goes live — and listings can be re-reviewed or removed if they break these guidelines. Reports are checked against the booking record: messages, confirmations, and notifications.
Serious or repeated violations — fake listings, harassment, or scams like off-app payments — can lead to account restrictions. Every enforcement decision can be appealed through our grievance redressal process.
Guidelines questions, answered.
When do these guidelines take effect?
At launch. ParkQ isn't live yet, so consider this a preview — read them now, park by them later. The guidelines may be refined before launch based on feedback.
What happens if someone breaks the guidelines?
Listings that break these guidelines can be removed after moderation review. Serious or repeated violations — fake listings, harassment, off-app payment scams — can lead to account restrictions. Decisions can be appealed through our grievance process.
How do I report a problem?
Message the other party in the app first — most issues are misunderstandings. If that doesn't work, contact us with your booking details and we'll review the full record.
