Parking means handing over your keys' destination to a stranger. Here's exactly how ParkQ keeps both sides safe — no vague promises.
Six things standing between you and a bad experience.
Every one of these is in the product — not a policy document.
Every listing is moderated
Host listings are reviewed before they go live on the map. Spots with wrong locations, misleading photos, or incomplete details don't make it through — the map only shows listings we'd park in ourselves.
Messaging stays in the app
Drivers and hosts coordinate through in-app messaging. Keep every conversation inside ParkQ — it's your shared record of what was agreed, and the first thing we look at if anything needs sorting out.
Bookings leave a paper trail
Every booking is confirmed in the app, with notifications for confirmations, reminders, and changes. A booking that didn't happen in ParkQ didn't happen — never pay or park on a promise made elsewhere.
Location, used only when it matters
ParkQ uses your location to show nearby spots and guide you to your booking — that's it. Discovery needs to know roughly where you are; everything else works without it.
Vehicle profiles
Drivers add their vehicle details to their profile, so hosts know exactly what's arriving. No surprises at the gate, no awkward conversations at midnight.
Real spots from people nearby
ParkQ is peer-to-peer: the spots on the map are driveways, empty plots, and basements listed by people in the neighbourhood — not anonymous inventory. Accountability starts with that.
Issues get a process, not a shrug.
Disagreements happen in any marketplace. Here's the path.
1. Talk it out in the app
Message the driver or host directly in ParkQ's in-app messaging. Most problems — wrong gate, running late, unclear entry — get solved in one conversation.
2. Bring us the record
If talking doesn't fix it, contact us with your booking details. Your messages, confirmations, and notifications are all on record, so we review what actually happened — not competing stories.
3. Cancellations & refunds
Clear cancellation windows and refund rules will be published before launch. They're marked as planned on our roadmap — we're not pretending the policy exists before it does.
4. Serious grievances
For formal complaints, our grievance redressal process is documented and will be staffed before launch. Listing and account decisions can be appealed.
Safety questions, answered straight.
Is ParkQ safe to use?
ParkQ is in pre-launch, so the honest answer is: we're building safety in from day one. Listing moderation keeps bad spots off the map, in-app messaging keeps a record of every agreement, and booking notifications mean there's always a paper trail.
How do you check listings?
Every host listing is moderated before it goes live — we check that the location, photos, and details are genuine and complete. Listings that break our community guidelines can be removed.
What should I do if something goes wrong during a booking?
Message the other party in the app first — most issues are misunderstandings. If that doesn't resolve it, contact us with your booking details. Every booking, message, and notification is on record, so issues can be reviewed fairly.
How do cancellations and refunds work?
Clear cancellation windows and refund rules will be published before launch — they're on our public roadmap as planned, not yet live. Nothing will be ambiguous on day one.
Safety is a practice, not a page. As ParkQ launches and learns, this page — and the product behind it — keeps getting updated.
