Legal

Last updated: September 2026

This is a draft for legal review — not yet effective.

This policy takes effect at launch. Refunds are supported from day one. Life happens — plans change, hosts cancel, traffic wins. This page explains what happens when a booking does not go ahead, in plain language.

How it works

When you cancel a booking, whether you get a refund — and how much — depends on when you cancel relative to the booking's start time. Full details of the cancellation windows and refund amounts are currently TBA and will be published here before launch. The principle is simple: the earlier you cancel, the more you get back.

Cancellation windows

The exact windows (for example, "more than X hours before" vs. "less than X hours before") and the corresponding refund percentages are TBA and will be finalized before launch. We will not launch without them.

  • Cancellations made well in advance will receive the highest refund.
  • Last-minute cancellations and no-shows will receive the lowest refund.
  • Service fees, if any, may be non-refundable — this will be stated clearly at checkout before launch.

Refund timelines

Once a refund is approved, we will issue it to your original payment method. The time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider. Our own processing timeline is currently TBA and will be published before launch.

Requesting a refund

At launch, you can request a refund through in-app support: open the booking in your history, tap support, and describe what happened. Have your booking ID ready — it appears on every booking confirmation.

If you believe a refund was wrongly denied, you can escalate through our Grievance Redressal process.

Host cancellations

If a host cancels your booking or the space is unavailable on arrival, you will receive a full refund of what you paid. We may also offer credit or other goodwill gestures at our discretion — the details are TBA and will be published before launch.
